The Charlotte 49ers men's and women's cross country teams head to UAB to compete in Friday morning's Blazer Classic. The event will be the last tune-up for the 49ers prior to the Nov. 2 Conference USA Championships.

"We're looking forward to using this meet as a tuneup for the C-USA Championships in two weeks," head coach Joseph Lynn said. "We'll be running the majority of our top 12 with both teams, while we continue to figure out what our conference line-up exactly will be. We have a lot of athletes who have been in our top 7 to 9 this year, so it makes this weekend all that more important to see where everyone is at this point in the season.
