UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Setting personal records was a common theme for the Charlotte 49ers cross country team as the men's squad finished ninth out of 16 teams while the women's team finished 13th out of 19 teams at the Penn State Open Friday morning.
The Niners were once again led by redshirt sophomores Caroline Sang and Tom Nobles who have continued to stand out amongst the pack in 2016. Running in the women's 6K, Sang posted a time of 20:37 to place eighth out of 223 runners, making her the top 49er-finisher in all four races so far this season.
