DALLAS – Conference USA announced Wednesday it is moving to a divisional standings format for the 2021 league season, which is set to begin this weekend. Charlotte will be a member of the East Division, along with FIU, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion and WKU after the vote of the league's Board of Directors.
Winners of the East and West divisions will be named champions at the conclusion of conference play in March with standings based on overall conference winning percentage.
Additionally, divisional seeding will be utilized for the conference tournament, scheduled for March 10-13 in Frisco, Texas.
