After 23 games against non-conference opponents already in 2017, the Charlotte softball team begins play in Conference USA on the road this weekend against the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech.
A schedule change has been made to what was originally announced at the beginning of the season. Due to inclement weather making its way into Ruston, the 49ers will now play a Friday doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m. CT/5 and 7 p.m. ET.
The Niners are coming off of back-to-back losses against ACC foes Notre Dame and UNC Chapel Hill, so the first three-game series of the season presents a great opportunity for this young, talented team to get back to its winning ways.
