Charlotte 49ers head softball coach Ashley Chastain has announced the signing of NC State transfer Grace Johnson (High Point, N.C. / Northwest Guilford) to play in the 2021-22 season.
Johnson, a utility player, will have four years of eligibility with the 49ers.
She has been with the Wolfpack for two years, including the pandemic-shortened 2020 season and a redshirt season in 2021.
Prior to heading to NC State, Johnson was a three-time all-conference player at Northwest Guilford. She was the 2017 Piedmont Triad Player of the Year and the 2018 4A District 5 Player of the Year.
