After winning six games in a row, the Charlotte women’s soccer team’s win streak came to an end Friday night, losing at UTEP 1-0. With this loss, Charlotte falls to a 2-3 record on the road. In a windy atmosphere, the Charlotte women’s soccer team (7-4, 2-1 C-USA) lost their first game in conference play to the UTEP Miners (6-6, 1-1 C-USA).
The Miners lone goal was scored during the 20th minute by starting midfielder Jackie Soto. Soto stole the ball from the Niner defense and struck the ball to upper 90, leaving Charlotte goaltender Abby Stapleton no chance to make the save.
