CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte used their power at the plate in dominant fashion, blasting five home runs in the doubleheader, spearheaded by Katie Manring's three homers. Lauren Riley and Maggie Cannon both earned wins on Saturday as Charlotte defeated FIU 7-2 and 9-1 (6 inn.) at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.
Katie Manring punished FIU pitching in both games, hitting three home runs, including a grand slam in game two. The transfer sophomore was 3-for-6 at the plate with eight RBI, three home runs, three runs scored and drew a walk.
