After being swept last weekend by Kent State, Charlotte (6-6) bounced back defeating Georgia (8-5) in the 49ers’ first uptown game of the season. The Tuesday match-up showcased the potential that the Niner squad is capable of, defeating the Bulldogs 10-5.
“It’s a team effort, we had a lot of good at bats up and down the order,” head coach Loren Hibbs said. “Really proud of our guys.”
The man of the night was junior first basemen Logan Sherer who went 4-4. Sherer hit a three-run homerun in the seventh inning that gave the Niners a large cushion.
