Charlotte unable to capitalize with runners on, lose second in a row to Marshall

The Charlotte 49ers (16-24,6-11 C-USA) fell short Saturday afternoon by a score of 10-5 to the Thundering Herd, giving up three home runs and unable to capitalize with runners in scoring position.

Marshall (21-15,10-7 C-USA) jumped on the 49ers early in the first inning, scoring three runs off of three hits, one of those hits being a three-run home run off the bat of Aaron Bossi.

The 49ers quickly answered with run of their own in the bottom half of the first with a Logan Sherer bomb (No. 9) to straight-away center, one of his three hits and three RBI’s on the day.
