CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers softball team travels to Gainesville, Fla., for the Bubly Invitational to compete against both the No. 6 Florida Gators and the Georgia Southern Eagles on Feb. 20-21. The 49ers will play No. 6 Florida for the first time in program history. The last time Charlotte defeated a ranked opponent was March 5, 2016 when the Niners beat No. 16 Kentucky, 5-3. Charlotte and Georgia Southern are playing for the first time since March 4, 2000 and the Eagles hold an 11-12 all-time advantage over the 49ers.
