Charlotte Races Past Middle Tennessee, 34-20

"From start to finish this is probably the best we have played all year," said Charlotte 49ers head coach Will Healy, following the 49ers convincing 34-20 victory over Middle Tennessee in Conference USA action, Saturday at Jerry Richardson Stadium. "Great team win. Huge win."

Charlotte (4-5; C-USA: 2-3) scored touchdowns on its opening three possessions to pull away from Middle Tennessee and score its second straight victory. Last week, the 49ers notched a dramatic 39-38 come-from-behind win over North Texas on a game-winning touchdown pass in the final 20 seconds.

Despite missing C-USA leading rusher Benny LeMay, who was sidelined with injury, Charlotte's run game piled up 248 yards and three touchdowns against the Blue Raiders (3-6; C-USA: 2-3).
