CHARLOTTE – Charlotte Baseball erupted for 29 runs, including two separate innings reaching double digits in the frame, in a 29-5 victory over UNC Asheville in seven innings on Tuesday evening (May 13) in the final game of the season at Hayes Stadium.
Charlotte (32-20, 15-9 American) trailed UNC Asheville (15-32, 8-13 Big South) by four heading into the bottom of the third inning but put up 28 unanswered runs throughout the rest of the game for the second-most unanswered runs in a single game in program history behind scoring the first 31 in a 31-1 victory over North Carolina A&T in 2009.
