DALLAS – Charlotte's Margaux Maquet and Kaavya Sawhney were named to the 2019-20 All-Conference USA Freshman Team Monday afternoon, as part of the postseason awards announcement by the league office. The pair is the first two 49ers in program history to receive the honor.
HISTORY MAKING TANDEM
The all-freshman team recognitions are the first for any Niners since the award was started in 2017-18. Charlotte was the only school on this year's list with multiple selections among the eight players. Maquet was the recipient of the team's Wendi Cook Award, while Sawhney was tabbed the team MVP for their performances throughout the season.
