The Charlotte 49ers (16-21, 6-9 C-USA) dropped a 3-0 decision in a Conference USA rubber match with Middle Tennessee Sunday afternoon while only providing a season-low three hits for their Charlotte starter, Josh Maciejewski, who pitched 7.1 innings, giving up only three runs on nine hits.
Coming off of a 12-hit and a 13-hit performance in the first two games of the series, the Charlotte 49ers were held to a season-low three hits, leading to only the second time all season long that they have been shutout at the plate.
The Blue Raiders (16-20, 4-11 C-USA) brought in their first run in the bottom half of the fourth inning, getting runners on and over with some small ball.
