Charlotte Imposes Will in Second Half for Win

MIAMI — Charlotte women's basketball broke open a three-point game at halftime by holding host FIU to 33.3 percent shooting in the second half to pull away for a 64-50 road Conference USA victory Saturday. The 49ers shot nearly 50 percent themselves after the intermission (13-of-27) while creating 10 turnovers and swiping six steals.

RETURN TO TWO IN DOUBLE DIGITS
The Niners' two leading scorers entering the contest, redshirt senior and junior , finished 1-2 in the overall scoring column. Phillips netted 9-of-15 field goals for 19 points, while Linney drained three triples among her 12 points.
