Charlotte Falls on the Road to Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A strong defensive effort by Wake Forest, along with goals in both halves, kept the Charlotte women's soccer team off the scoreboard in a 3-0 setback Sunday afternoon at Spry Stadium in Winston-Salem.

Wake Forest (4-0) wasted little time in finding the back of the net early, as a Bailey Feist right-side cross landed at Sofia Rossi's feet at the far-side top of the 18-yard box. Rossi then took one step and fired home a hard shot past starting keeper at 2:14 to give the Demon Deacons the 1-0 edge.

Rossi added another tally to the board at 19:14 after corralling a long serve from Ally Haran.
