On Friday the 13th, bad luck was in the air for the Niners women’s soccer team as they traveled to Louisiana Tech for a Conference USA battle. Charlotte put up a good fight but never had a lead in the match and fell to LA Tech 2-1.
Charlotte (9-5, 4-2 C-USA) started off struggling, only having two shots in the first half. The Niners were not playing good defense in the first half, allowing five shots in the first ten minutes, and allowing a total of ten shots total in the first half. Freshman goalie, Abby Stapleton, had a total of five saves in the first half and six total on the game.
