WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Charlotte women's soccer team (4-3-0) fell to UNCW (4-1-0) 3-0 on Sunday (Sep. 12) in Wilmington, North Carolina. The 49ers controlled the second half of the match but couldn't find the back of the net as they remained scoreless against the Seahawks.

"Congratulations to UNCW. Not taking anything away from them as they were deserved victors, but we looked a tired team at times today, especially out of possession where we didn't get our defensive distances and spacing right," said head coach John Cullen.
