CHARLOTTE – Seb Cave and Frazer Jones of the Charlotte Men's Golf team are getting set to compete in The 153rd Open Championship beginning on Thursday (July 17) at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland. Only nine amateurs qualified for the tournament. Cave and Jones will become the first two active players for Charlotte to play in this PGA Tour major.
"Having two guys playing in a major championship while still in school is a very big deal," said Charlotte Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "I am proud of both Seb and Frazer for all of the hard work they have put in to lead them to this point.
