Charlotte, N.C. - Senior Carson Pace only gave up five hits and sophomore Maggie Cannon tallied three RBIs in the game to help lead the Charlotte 49ers (12-13, 1-1) past the Florida Atlantic Owls (7-12, 1-1) on Saturday at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium. This win also marked head coach Ashley Chastain's first Conference USA victory.
Pace pitched her second complete game of the season and held the Owls hitless until the fourth inning. She gave up three earned runs on five hits, while punching out seven and only walking one.
Three 49ers had multi-hit games, two collected multi-RBI games and five hit doubles.
