Conference USA Presidents and Directors of Athletics met with conference officials today at the site of the C-USA Basketball Tournament Championships and elected to suspend the 2020 spring athletic season until further notice, effective immediately. Earlier in the day, C-USA canceled the remaining games of the 2020 Basketball Championship Tournament.
In addition, several other Charlotte 49ers athletics events will be impacted by the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in accordance with guidance from the UNC System and a directive from Chancellor Phil Dubois.
Cancellations include the Mar. 21 Spring Football Game.
All other athletic events currently scheduled are suspended until further notice per the C-USA announcement.
