DALLAS – Charlotte guard Jacee Busick has been named the March 1 Conference USA Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. She helped the 49ers to a 1-1 weekend split with UTEP inside Halton Arena.

The first-year player from Kernersville, North Carolina averaged 5.5 points and 2.5 rebounds plus 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks in the series.
She started the weekend Friday with nine points, including draining her only attempt from behind the 3-point arc among her 4-of-6 (66.7 percent) field goals. She chipped in two rebounds, a block and a steal in the win over the Miners.
