Eugene, Ore. -- Charlotte 49ers freshman pole vaulter Sarah Brown earned USTFCCCA Second Team all-America honors to highlight the 49ers performance during the second day of the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field. In addition, distance specialist Chandler Horton posted a personal best of 33:41.34 in the 10,000 meters.
Brown, who broke the 49ers' school record in the pole vault three times this season, tied for 12th to garner second team all-America honors. She cleared 13' 3.5 (4.05m). Of the six freshmen that qualified for the championships, Brown tied for second.
