CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte infielder Brett Netzer has been named a third team preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Monday afternoon. Netzer, entering his junior season in 2017, was one of three representatives from Conference USA.
Netzer led the 49ers with a .384 average last season with five home runs and 35 RBI. The Tega Cay native finished second with his home runs and RBI along with 81 hits, 47 runs scored and 25 walks. Netzer was named to Conference USA's second team in May backing up his all-Freshman pick in 2015.
