Charlotte 49ers redshirt sophomore punter Connor Bowler (Glenmoore, Pa.) has been named to the 2019 Conference USA Football all-Academic Team by the league.
A 4.0 electrical engineering major, Bowler was the 49ers starting punter for the bulk of the season. He played in 10 of 12 games and ranks seventh in C-USA with a 41.5 punting average. He has had seven punts of 50 or more yards, including a season-high 59-yarder. Eight of his punts trapped opponents inside the 20-yard line.
