Rebecca Reuter had 23 points, Jess Louro and Ty Petty added 18 apiece, and Middle Tennessee saw their 23-point lead collapse but ultimately held on for an 83-81 victory over Charlotte. Alex Johnson had 16 points and seven boards for the visitors, whose three-point shooting was the difference in the game.
Lefty Webster and Grace Hunter both had near double-doubles for Charlotte. Webster had 22 points and nine assists, while Hunter registered 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes. Nyilah Jamison-Myers had 19 points and 10 boards for a double-double and Ciara Gregory was knocking on the door with nine points for the 49ers.
