DURHAM, N.C. – For his stellar play through the first half of the 2021 season, Charlotte's Austin Knight has been named to USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List. Of the initial 45 players to be named to the list, Knight is the only representative from Conference USA and the first to come from Charlotte. The Golden Spikes Award will name the top amateur baseball player in the country in July.
KNIGHTING IT UP
Knight currently leads the team hitting .373 on the year, fourth-best in Conference USA, while leading the country with his 18 doubles.
