KENNESAW, Ga. – Powered behind a four-run first and two-run second, the Charlotte 49ers baseball team picked up a 12-8 victory at Kennesaw State in their first road game of 2016. T.J Nichting collected his third, three-hit game on the young season while Reece Hampton drew three walks and scored four times from the leadoff spot. The 49ers picked up their fourth-straight win on Wednesday night.
Charlotte (5-3) again got the offense rolling early grabbing a 6-0 lead. Hampton started the ballgame with a walk and moved to third on Derek Gallello’s double to left.
