Baseball Wins 4-2 at UTSA After Six-Hour Rain Delay

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – After a 15-minute first inning followed by a six-plus hour rain delay, the Charlotte 49ers rallied with four runs in the top of the eighth inning to double up UTSA 4-2 on Saturday night.

“It was a really long day, but a very, very productive day,” commented Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “We are becoming a team every day. We’ve slowly but surely become more of a cohesive unit and a team. Now, we have to play again tomorrow so we have to show up and play.”
