CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Another pivotal home series in Conference USA play will begin on Friday night for Charlotte when they host Rice at 6:00 p.m. Both teams currently sit below .500 in league play with only the top eight teams qualifying for the tournament in late May.
Charlotte (12-19-1, 3-8-1 C-USA) will look to snap a four-game skid this weekend after dropping a 5-4 decision at South Carolina on Tuesday night. Tommy Bullock hit a solo home run and a double accounting for two of the 49ers seven hits on the night.
Rice (14-21, 5-7) enters the weekend dropping three-straight that includes a DH loss to FIU last Saturday and a 3-1 road loss at #14 Texas on Tuesday.
