CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Originally scheduled to play their midweek contest on Tuesday, the Charlotte 49ers will now travel to take on the #14 Clemson Tigers on Monday afternoon to beat the incoming wet weather expected throughout the entire southeast. Clemson will be the first ranked opponent for the Niners in 2019 with a first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
Charlotte (3-0) is coming off of a perfect series start to the year taking all three from Delaware in three tightly-contested ball games. Matt Brooks and Colby Bruce combined to keep the Blue Hens at bay in the 5-2 game one victory Friday while Josh Haney provided a big pair of insurance runs with his two-run single in the seventh.
