CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers got the offense rolling on Saturday sweep a twinbill from Toledo by the final scores of 12-4 and 9-8 (11) at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium. The 49ers opened up game one with a seven-run sixth and used a Logan Sherer walk-off single in the 11th of game two to grab the pair of wins.
“It was a really good day today,” started Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “We were a lot more relaxed in the box offensively and a lot of good things happened today. Friday’s game was a back-and-forth game and we didn’t capitalize.
