CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A half inning after visiting UTSA took a 4-3 lead, Charlotte answered with two runs in the bottom of the eighth and got a game-ending double play in the ninth to win the season finale 5-4 at Hayes Stadium.
"I'm happy our seniors could go out with a win," said Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "We set the standard really high in this program and everyone realizes we didn't play up to that standard this year. We had some things happen this year out of our control, but there are no excuses. I promise you changes will be made.
