CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte baseball program, currently ranked #18 in the country, has been selected as one of 20 preliminary sites to potentially host a 2021 NCAA Regional in Gastonia at the brand new FUSE District Stadium the first weekend in June. The 49ers have been ranked as high as #15 this season, setting a new school record, tied a record with 11-straight wins earlier in the year and have five wins against top-15 RPI teams as of Friday.
"Our coaching staff couldn't be more honored and excited to be listed among these other 19 teams selected as potential regional hosts," started Head Coach Robert Woodard.
