HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The 2016 baseball season for the Charlotte 49ers came to an end on Thursday afternoon suffering a 13-3 loss to Louisiana Tech at the Conference USA Tournament. The Niners end the year 23-32 overall after being eliminated in Mississippi.
“We were running uphill from the second inning and made a lot of mistakes we haven’t made most of the season,” remarked Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “Once you get to this level of play, everyone is good. I’m proud of the fact we made improvements and made our way to the tournament, but didn’t play as well as we have this season.
