CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball continues their final homestand of the year when WKU visits for a three-game Conference USA series this weekend. Friday's series-opener begins at 6:00 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday matinees to follow at 2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Charlotte (25-19, 11-10 C-USA) scored their 25th win of the season in convincing fashion toppling Winthrop 18-2 on Wednesday afternoon. The Niners scored a season-best seven runs in the eighth inning, after tying the mark with six in the second, cruising to victory. Jackson Mims led all hitters with a three-hit, three-runs scored performance while Reece Hampton, Harris Yett, Drew Ober and Dominick Cammarata each recorded two hits and at-least two runs scored.
