CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball begins their 2019 campaign consisting of a 56-game grind hosting Delaware for opening weekend action starting Friday afternoon. Due to weekend weather, both teams will open up the year with a doubleheader starting on Friday at 12:00 p.m. Game two will follow approximately 45 minutes after the opener. Friday will mark the 11th time Charlotte has opened the season with a twinbill, the first since splitting with Akron in 2015.
"The guys know what's in front of us," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "It's that time of year where we need to play somebody different.
