CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team returns home for a regular-season ending six-game homestand that begins with the Rice Owls on Friday night. Fireworks will follow the series-opener at 6:30 p.m. as the 49ers have their first chance to clinch a C-USA Tournament berth this weekend.
Charlotte (27-17, 14-7 C-USA) enters the new weekend after winning their second-straight road series taking two-of-three at UAB. The 49ers have won 10 of their last 11 after bouncing back for 17-5 and 3-0 victories to clinch the set in Birmingham. Zach Jarrett led the charge hitting .
