CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball will continue their 12-game homestand by opening up a three-game series with Fairfield on Friday afternoon. The series-opener with the Stags will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday while impending weather has caused a change for Saturday. Both teams will now engage in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. Saturday to avoid incoming weather forecasted for Sunday. Both games Saturday will be nine innings.
Charlotte (6-7) cranks up their final non-conference weekend of the season after splitting a pair of midweek contests against the Georgia Bulldogs. The 49ers topped the Dawgs 10-5 on Tuesday night belting out 18 hits that included an eight-run, eight-hit attack in the seventh inning.
