MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Charlotte 49ers offense couldn’t put much together on Sunday suffering a 3-0 shutout at the hands of Middle Tennessee. It marked just the second shutout of the year by the Niners who dropped the rubber game against the Blue Raiders.
“We never got in a rhythm,” said Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “We didn’t make any adjustments in the box and it was a disappointing day. We just didn’t have the type of performance we needed to today.”
Middle Tennessee (16-20, 4-11 C-USA) broke up the scoreless contest in the bottom of the third using a little small ball to take a 1-0 lead.
