CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The second half of the Conference USA season will open up with back-to-back road trips for Charlotte baseball beginning at Southern Miss on Thursday. The series is one of four on the weekend to be played Thursday-Saturday due to Easter. Thursday's game is scheduled to air of 730 The Game, ESPN Charlotte through Learfield/IMG College.
Charlotte (14-21-1) suffered an 11-4 loss at home to Gardner-Webb on Tuesday night. Rafi Vazquez hit a three-run homer in the contest, but the Niners couldn't overcome eight early runs by the Bulldogs.
Southern Miss (21-13) has lost four of their last five which includes a 4-1 loss at South Alabama on Tuesday night.
