CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Marshall began and ended Saturday afternoon with a three-run inning rolling to a 10-5 victory over Charlotte at Hayes Stadium. The Herd scored in five of the nine innings and out-hit the 49ers 13-12. Charlotte has now lost four-straight including six of their last seven.
“We can’t keep giving up the number of runs we’re giving up,” began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “We have to get some things corrected. We’re going to have to pitch a lot better and have better at-bats. We have got to be able to get into a situation to pitch and hit at a high level.
