MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee capped off a wild night of offense with a run in the bottom of the 10th to survive Charlotte 12-11 on Friday night. The Blue Raiders erased a 10-7 deficit late to move to 5-0 in extra frames while the 49ers dropped to 4-1 in extras.
“We got off to a really poor start,” began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “I’m proud of the way our guys battled back, we really competed tonight, we just didn’t make a few pitches we needed to make.”
Charlotte (15-20, 5-8 C-USA) responded to a three-run bottom of the first by the Blue Raiders with three of their own in the second.
