BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Charlotte baseball capitalized on a late opportunity Thursday night to storm back for a 6-4, 12-inning victory at WKU. The C-USA series-opener had plenty of strange quirks happen on Thursday that saw the Niners fall behind early, take a lead, lose in the ninth and win it with two in the 12th.
Charlotte (18-16, 7-6 C-USA) fell behind 3-0 after the first two innings as a couple of errors defensively led to two of those runs. Colie Currie led off WKU's first with a double down the right-field line and came in on Hunter Wood's RBI double to center, a part of three-straight hits off starter Colton Laws.
