Charlotte, N.C. – Charlotte 49ers men's basketball forward Amidou Bamba was named third-team Academic All-American selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Last week, he was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team. Bamba owns a 4.0 GPA in his Masters of Business Administration program. Last fall, he earned a Conference USA Academic Medal and was named to the Conference USA Honor Roll. This semester, he is also doing an internship in financial planning with Northwestern Mutual. Last season, Bamba, who is a graduate transfer from Coastal Carolina, also earned third-team CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.
