CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball began the 2021 season with a 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21) victory over Xavier inside Halton Arena on Friday night. The Niners have won eight-straight matches on home court and picked up their eighth-consecutive season-opening victory on Friday.
"It was such a blessing to be back in Halton Arena," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "We have one of the best arenas in C-USA and some of the best fans. It was invigorating, so vibrant and so great to see almost 500 people here tonight. We are proud to earn that victory; it was a really grungy match.
