CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte head women's tennis coach Michaela Gorman has announced the addition of Tahlia van der Eerden, a native of Adelaide, Australia, to a National Letter of Intent. She will join the 49ers in the Fall 2018 semester as the first Australian during Gorman's tenure with the Niners program.
"We are thrilled to add Tahlia to our 49ers family," Gorman said. "Tahlia is just what we were looking for. She is an amazing person and a great tennis player."
van der Eerden climbed as high as No. 540 during her juniors career in the International Tennis Federation rankings, earning points in singles and doubles.
