Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field team travels to Columbia, S.C., to compete in the Carolina Challenge on Jan. 31-Feb. 1. Last week at the Hokie Invitational, 15 athletes had top-10 school indoor record performances, while 27 performances put multiple athletes in top-10 conference rankings. Terrell Adams is the lone 49er to rank first in an event as his shot put of 17.14m (56'-3") at the Hokie Invitational set him atop the conference leaderboard.
Field events begin at 10 a.m. on Friday with women's weight throw, women's long jump, men's shot put and men's long jump, while field events will close out at 4 p.
