HOUSTON – Charlotte women's soccer advanced to Saturday's Conference USA Championships Final behind strong performances from its postseason All-Conference USA selections, as the 49ers knocked off WKU 2-0 Thursday in the semifinals.

"We're delighted to get the win," head coach John Cullen said. "We had to pick ourselves up after the disappointment of narrowly missing on the regular-season title last Friday to this very competitive WKU team. But, to dust ourselves off and get here, and keep back-to-back clean sheets, against three-time defending champion North Texas and now East Division winners WKU speaks volumes of this group and their belief in what we do at Charlotte and how we approach games.
