A common theme within the women's tennis team at Charlotte is the collection of players that hail from the state of Florida, which has been established as one of the best in regards to promising young tennis players. Sophomore team member Alexandra "Sasha" Lee, a former five-star recruit out of Orlando and leader for the 49ers with 11 singles victories last fall (2016), is another one who appreciates where she came from and what it's done for her career.
"It's nice to come from high competition, and to come here and see others that I played with. It's cool to see where everyone ended up and I chose Charlotte to be able to get away a little bit but not be too far away from home," said Lee.
